The Meet a Young Professional feature of the Space4Water Portal is a unique opportunity for young professionals to be interviewed and share their views with a broad community of experts. Young Professionals ideally have both, a passion for space technologies and sustainable water resource management or hydrology. The feature is designed for highly qualified and motivated individuals who hold a graduate degree or are currently enrolled in a graduate degree, who are skilled in areas relevant to the space and environmental management sector or research thereof. These areas include space-based remote sensing, space technology spin offs, hydrology, water resource management, glacier monitoring, flood risk assessment or other of relevance, among many other. Young Professionals from developing countries are encouraged to apply.

We seek the support of online volunteers to write success stories and news articles on the use of space technologies for any field which is concerned with water, e.g. water management, water cycle management, water-related topics within the realms of climate-change or ecosystems, and all sub-fields. The stories and articles are to be published at the Space4Water Portal. The main focus of the stories shall be the benefits space technologies bring to the respective water-related field, the insights gained, data used, etc.

To apply for writing an article, send us an email with your abstract of your article idea to office[at] ([at] should be replaced with an @). Successful candidates will be contacted by UNOOSA.
